Why a meatless March?

Several weeks ago I decided to relinquish meat for a month. On the eve of said month, I’m finding my reasoning fuzzy and, having not laid out the grand plan as intended, wondering what we might end up eating tomorrow. I’m  sure the gazillions of vegetarians in the world (only several thousand of whom will surely find and read this blog) are saying “Big Yank!” But being raised by, and marrying into, not only meat-loving families, but a meat-on-dry-ice-shipped-for-any-seemingly-good-occasion dad, some farm-owning-cow-raising-beef-selling step-in-laws and meat-processing-company in-laws, this is bound to be a challenge of sorts.
