Sooshi

I had a dentist appointment which happens to be in Sakura Square where a Japanese grocery store is so naturally I had to go there afterwards. I have to admit to having bought a box of tempura shrimp at Costco the day before. It’s a weakness. What can I say? They are so good and convenient. Salmon, Artichokes and a Fabulous Sauce, Oh My

Finally, a week after the end of Meatless March, I got my salmon fix. I had picked up some wild sockeye fillets and several artichokes I found on sale at the infamous Queen Supers. The Last (Veggie) Supper

Ryan had promised me he’d cook one night of veggie dinner during Meatless March and I took him up on it to the point of annoying nagging in the form of “so, are you ready for your night? so you’re cooking tomorrow right? are you excited for your veggie meal?” This was silly on several fronts. For one, Ryan normally cooks a lot more dinners than one in a month and did, on many occasions step in and help get various veggie dinners done this month. And cooking vegetarian dinners is something we do normally, just nowhere near this scale … Continue reading
